Adopt Dusty a Black Doberman Pinscher / Mixed (short coat) dog in Grand Prairie

Dusty was found in the Rio Grande Valley with untreated bite wounds on a rear leg. He was taken to a vet for immediate care by a caring volunteer. He then started the long transport to DRNT. It took three transporters to get Dusty to our vet where the wounds were assessed. It was discovered that he had suffered a broken leg which had started healing on its own. Although at first surgery was considered, the DVM who treated him stated "it was better to leave it as is, surgery could actually make it worse. It has been a slow healing process for Dusty. Thus he has one swollen hock that will stay that way. He has been in a foster home with a number of other large dogs. He gets along with both male and female. He is a rough player and continues to seek loving from his fosters, Loves leaning on you and likes company. Because of his previous injury, he will not make a good running buddy but playing in the yard,yup he loves it. He has a shiny gorgeous coat and loves to lean on you while you brush him. Can't help but love him.
